The S&P 500 rose 1.4% last week, ending Friday above the 5,000 threshold for the first time. The Dow eked out a weekly gain of less than 0.1%, while the Nasdaq jumped 2.3%, ending Friday just 0.4% below its record close of 16,057.44 set on Nov. 19, 2021.
